Surgery Update

Surgery went well. It took longer than expected as a lot more damage was found than Dr. Byrd had anticipated. I was nauseous for a couple of hours, but feel pretty good now. Pain level has been around 4, but the worst is that I'm still so sleepy from the anethesia. So, forgive me if this message is full of typos or makes no sense.

Tomorrow I will post photos and videos from the actual surgery.

Both femur and acetabular had bone shaving, labrum and cartlidge were cleaned up and repaired. Bryd told family to expect 4 weeks on crutches, 8 month total recovery period. Tomorrow is my first PT appt.

It's very difficult at this time to keep up with the well wishes and comments, but please know that your kind words of encouragement have meant the world to me. I really appreciate hearing from you guys!!
