Happy Thanksgiving Ya'll!!

Because it's 2 am, and I made the mistake of ordering a gigantic latte at Starbucks with a friend this afternoon and now am unable to sleep, I thought I'd wish all of you great supportive friends and readers a Happy Thanksgiving.  I've been busy baking like a manic!!  This is my absolute most favorite time of the year.  I love everything about it, the crisp Autumn air, the kids getting excited about Christmas & presents, the Advent season...but i spend as much time as possible in the kitchen.  In case you didn't know, cooking is one of my most favorite hobbies!!

Yes, I've thrown caution to the wind and cooked with butter, sugar, honey, molasses and all that stuff!!!  We've made homemade pizza, muffins, scones, pecan pie, gingerbread, oatmeal cookies and guess what??  Hours in the kitchen and my hip hasn't complained a second.  Now this is my early Christmas miracle.  Tonight, for the first time since surgery I sat on the floor with my legs crossed.  Not perfect, a little tight, but darn close to normal.  Seems like the last few days have blessed me with being one step closer to good as new.

Really getting my heart set on an early spring snowboarding trip out West.  I've been told by my PT that Dr.  Byrd will probably give me his blessings by then, it shouldn't be a problem.  Have I already shared this?  Well, if so it is worth repeating.  For today I am happy and I am signing off for Holiday travels, turkey and pumpkin pie!!

Happy Thanksgiving,

Vanessa:)
